SOUTH CITY REVIVAL
AMERICANA // COUNTRY ROCK & ROLL // ALT-COUNTRY
With their upcoming release, "Singer In a Country Band" (1/18/19), South City Revival continues to refine what the South Side band is referring to as "Chicago Country". The new single is a quintessential blend of country and rock and roll that demonstrates their diverse influences: from Red Dirt artists such as Reckless Kelly and Randy Rogers Band to Bruce Springsteen and Jackson Browne.
In 2017, SCR teamed up with Chicago studio engineer/producer Mike Hagler (Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Waco Brothers) to record their self-titled, debut EP at his Humboldt Park Studio — Kingsize Sound Labs. The release features a captivating blend of story driven songwriting and high energy studio performances.
South City Revival is: Brendan Linnane (Pedal Steel) -- Pino Perez (Drums) -- Joe Pacelli (Vocals/Acoustic Guitar) -- Mike Fitzgerald (Bass) -- John Quinn (Electric Guitar)
"In a field of impressive bands, South City Revival does South Side proud."
“[In 2016, South City Revival] released its self-titled debut EP, 21-minutes of rustic rock that sounds right out of a particularly bustling roadhouse. They should fit right in here in Milwaukee, where this style of country-twinged rock always goes over well.”
“[South City Revival’s] sound is a mix of Country and Roots Rock from the best I've heard.
